Earth Names, grounded within the solid custom of classical music, would comprise works written for or by Grabois for solo horn or horn and piano. Water Names shall be an album of music all composed by Grabois for horn and electronics utilizing equipment from EARS, with horn elements. This music might be written by Grabois, mixing varied kinds of rock music with classical and world music sounds. Recordings will take place in the Hamel Music Center, utilizing microphones, interfaces, and other tools from EARS. Mr. Platt gained the 2017 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance as Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen. The musical debuted at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., with Mr. Platt originating the role of Evan Hansen.
Tom Titus has been the principal theatre author and critic for The Daily Pilot for 55 years, writing insightful articles and reviews—and at all times utilizing his role to convey his pleasure of theatre and to champion its importance in our neighborhood. During his long tenure, he reviewed each play produced by South Coast Repertory except for one . He has produced or co-produced notable movies and Broadway plays, including the Oscar-nominated The Children of Theatre Street, a 1977 characteristic documentary—which he produced and co-directed—on Russia’s Vaganova Choreographic Institute . The documentary was narrated by Princess Grace of Monaco in her final main look in a movie.
